- OK, I know nothing about the mechanics of the automobile, well almost nothing, but this book is very interesting and incredible in it's detail. I am a HUGE Porsche 911 fan and it's very cool to read about the history and read the DNA on this amazing car. I loved the rich and beautiful pictures and it was cool that many of the cars were more of the modern type. I would not say this book focuses on the older models. Enjoyment for any 911 or Porsche fan !
- I don't know what I was expecting but it is written more like product brochures than car reviews out of EVO.
In fact I don't know if much of what is written about was driven or experienced and there aren't interviews
with many people.
If you want a fact book you'll probably be happy. If you want a story I think you will be disappointed - despite
the title. - Great book. Awesome level of detail. I've used it a a technical reference when talking about Porsche transmissions.
- This is a technical book that is not for the average auto enthusiast. This book details the year by year development of all the systems, from engine to suspension to body shell design. It's a must have for the hard core Porschophile.
- Splendid book. The history is tell from the point of view of a porschist - with richness of intimate details about the evolution of the motor, the gear box and so on. Porsche is a real darwinian specie of car and is a awesome experience to read this book.

- Excellent compilation of porsche 911 history contains many great technical details and includes good racing information. Very good reference for people restoring real 911s.
- Great book and great read if you are in love with Porsches! Even covers the new 991 models and has lots of pictures.
