- This wonderfully shared the value of recognizing my 'sonship' and living the Christian life from that position, rather than as an orphan. There were great questions and activities that brought me closer to an authentic walk with my Heavenly Father.
Sometimes the wording was confusing but with a couple of reads, I was able to work it out. Pairs nicely with “The Forgotten Way†by Ted Dekker. - on a shelf as one of my top 10 books! One that you should read every year...AS he reminds his readers to live from who we are in Christ, it makes all the difference. Knowing the Word in our head, and getting it to our hearts though a short distance we "often live like God is mad at us" Lief Hetland writing overflows the " fountain " of LIviing Water of the tremendous love of God through Jesus Christ. You cant help but get wet!! Come splash in the Joy of who we are in Christ Jesus ....I highly recommend this as a book you come back to time and time again .
- Yes, yes, yes, finally someone is putting words on a discomfort I have felt forever! Now I have an easy reminder and chair imagery as a benchmark. I will buy more of this book for a couple of friends. I have talked about the chair metaphor to several people because it is VERY powerful. Please read this book!
- A beautiful yet simple way of explaining the Love of the Father. Lief's illustration of the chairs gives us a great tool for recognizing when were seated in Chair 1 with the Father or when we have moved into ourselves in Chair 2. His testimonies of Papas love is amazing too.
