• I love this author and have a couple of her books I reference from time to time. When I knew my sweet kitty was preparing for his "transition", I pulled the book off the shelf and found some comforting reminders (in ch. 10) to help me get through such a difficult time.
  
  "...my love must be stronger than my grief and impending sense of loss."
  
  "My emotional pain is less important than the pet's welfare..."
  
  "...this life is a learning zone and that our real world is to come..."
  
  "Healing given to the terminally ill pet is very potent and assists the transition from this life, easing the spiritual journey."
  
  "After the pet has passed away, keep sending out your thoughts of love remember that your pet will exist as a spark of the universal life force for eternity."
  
  Reading this chapter while preparing for one of the worst moments of my life helped me to focus on sending love and healing, rather than completely focusing on my loss and on the grief. I know by having this knowledge and helpful reminders prior to the day he left Earth, it also helped make his transition easier, as well. I am grateful.
  
  And having read this book before, I can also say it has a broad range of ideas and instruction for how to send healing to our dear pets and proved very useful for me, and all the furballs who have blessed me with their presence. I use the tools to this day when meeting a new animal or feeding the local "wild" bunnies.
• I am certified in Healing Touch for Animals and I have been a practitioner for more than 10 years. Margrit has written several books about healing animals and communication with them, but I like this one best. It is so much more than just the techniques and hand placement. She has lots of examples and offers many scientific and rational explanations for why these techniques work as they do. I recommend this as the first book to read for anyone who is considering going to a school to be trained as an energy healer. It works. And this book will convince you of that and validate it's worth.
• Once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down. It was very informative, and the chapter on gemstones opened up whole new world now. I'm hooked on using crystals in conjunction with the hand-on healing that I'm performing with my 17-year-old cat, and she noticeably responds to the crystals' energies as well. I'm so glad I discovered this book.
• I wish I could give this more then 5 stars. It is the most comprehensive book I've read for hands-on healing for animals. The author doesn't just offer hand placements but provides a wealth of information on other aspects that effect the pet's overall well being. The book covers scientific evidence of healing, explains auras and chakras, environmental impacts, animal communication - including a meditation for developing the ability, properties for working with crystal energy, and astrological signs that influence your pet. The last chapter discusses complementary therapies such as acupuncture, homeopathy, and chiropractic.
  
  The only challenge I have is in the beginning of the book the author seems to oversimplify the ability for anyone to provide hands-on healing. I do believe we all have the innate ability to channel universal energy, but I believe a lot of us have "forgotten" who we are and our natural abilities. Later in the text the author does acknowledge it may take years for an individual to develop this inherent ability. Personally I recommend taking a class, whether it is Reiki, TT, HT, or any other energy healing modality if you're interested in hands on healing.
• book was written so it was easy to understand and her examples made this interesting. their is a whole world out their
  of unexplained things and nice that something was put out for pets and not just humans. Sad that it is hard to find someone
  in the United States (Michigan) that does this sort of thing or that prices are so high. Hope to learn to do this so I can help
  the pets of people who are not financially well off.
• I recently became an Usui legacy Reiki Level 1 healer specifically to help my feral cat Gizmo. She has lived with me since she was about 3 months old. She is now 5 years old and still runs and hides every time I or anyone comes around her. She is constantly in the "fight or flight" mode that her mother taught her. She has never scratched me and allows me to touch her when she is cornered but was always alert. I was hoping that Reiki healing would help her trust me and relax. The day I received my attunement I went home and started working on Gizzi. I intuitively focused on her lower back area. During our 3rd session, she liked it so much she repositioned herself with her back to me so she could get the full effect. Once I got the book and reviewed the chakras for cats, ironically the areas that I intuitively focused on were her Base Chakra, which governs instinct, survival and instinct and the Sacral Chakra which governs relationships and emotional needs.
  
  With more treatments I am confident that she will eventually worm up to me.
  
  This book is required reading for animal lovers.
• I do Reiki, hypnosis and am a nurse. I thought this book was wonderful in the context in which it was written - so caring. I helped me understand animal anatomy and energy centers so I can apply what I know about working with humans to my dogs. Even though this was written a few years ago, it is timeless. I couldn't put it down.
• For those with an open mind for truly helping their animals, this is a must own book. Animals function on energies. This book will help you tap into it and connect with them.
