• It is a helpful guide with the typical Fodor mix of sites, restaurants, and places to stay. That said, there are no pull-out maps or color images like other books in this series. A few color images on the first three pages and the rest of the book is two-tone maps with B&W images only on the section headers! Hard to get a sense for what is at a location and decide what to include on your trip without even a few images, and that is usually standard for this series (guides for NYC, Washington DC, Boston, etc. all have these features). Just want others to know this particular guide doesn't match the pattern.

• Exactly what we needed. Visited philly for the first time and carried this compact and handy guide everywhere. It was useful and very up to date. Actually, bought one for New York as well and found it to be thorough, too.
• I thought I was getting a product similar to Fodors New York City jammed packed with photographs and variety. I was dismayed when opening this book that basically there are 10 pages of information that are churned over and over again to fill a small comic book like volume. I wish I could return it. I honestly would not have taken this book even if it were free – I made the mistake of trusting the Fodors brand. Do yourself a favor and buy the DK Eyewitness book instead - in retrospect I wish I had. Don't waste your money – there is nothing here you cannot find yourself using Google and 60 seconds of your time......make that 10 seconds flat.
